As Snook gets closer to his mandatory retirement age, we are starting the journey to train his successor to take his place once he retires and we need your support!

This website and blog serve as a way to educate, support and follow along with Duke’s training to become a diabetic alert dog and Snook’s journey toward retirement. It’s an opportunity to help you learn about service dogs and their training as well as follow the progress Duke makes toward taking over for Snook. Most everyone I know loves dogs and the stories or moments that happen in their lives. I hope to spread awareness about diabetic alert dogs, service dog training and the journey of transitioning from one service dog to the next service dog (AKA his successor).  This site also offers you a chance to show your support for us as we navigate this journey and enjoy the stories of our experiences from lab puppy to service dog!
