Paw!

Duke will use a "paw" command and put his foot on my lap/leg to alert me to blood sugars once he is trained. In order to do this, he needed to learn the paw command. For about 2 weeks, he wouldn't do it. No matter what - regardless of what I tried. I couldn't figure out why...then it suddenly clicked. I was sitting in my office chair and told him to "paw" and he did it. I didn't even have any treats in my hand. Then it was a fun game! (check out the video below)

I am so proud of him! He now gets really excited and has even given me a paw when I didn't even ask and Snook hadn't alerted either. I checked my blood sugar when he did that and he was RIGHT!

Now he will automatically give me a paw when Snook alerts and of course, he gets a treat!
